Daily Brief (Jan. 27 , 2020)

Friday

Last Friday found me finishing off the week in the studio.  I made some progress but it does feel slow as I get nearer the finish line.  The closer I get to completion, the more concerned I become about messing it up.  This has been over a year-long painting and I feel heavily invested in it.  I had an error the other day and, for a moment, I thought I’d lost it.  Luckily, I’m good enough, that I was able to resolve the issue.  Even so, my heart still stopped a moment!

Today

Today begins in the kitchen as I prepare soup for the week.  We had a very nice weekend and we were able to get out for a couple walks.  But, it was a bit too relaxed and so it falls on me to prepare the evening meal.

Then, it’s down to the office for a little while of businessy things.  After that, I’d like to spend a little time in the shop, working on the jigs for picture frames.  I am hoping to get into the studio after that… We’ll see, I’m breaking my rule of three on that one.
